The Heinous Loop

Townsend->Walland->Foothills Parkway->US 129->Parson's Branch Road->Cades Cove->Rich Mtn.->Townsend. Approximately 64 miles completed in 6+ hours.

I met up with Shawn McCann, Johnathon Moorehead, and Chris Murray for a spirited cycling adventure through the mountains of East Tennessee. The route is named the Heinous loop but depending on your pace it could also be dubbed the Uncomfortable Loop. Regardless of the label it was a good day in the hills and definitely a ride to add to the catalog.

The start in Townsend, TN
Shawn on the 1st climb of the Foothills Parkway.
The posterior view of Mr. McCann would remain all day although
sometimes it would be completely out of sight.
Shawn on climb #2 of the Foothills Parkway
Shawn on top of the parkway
The only sun we saw all day but the view was awesome.
All together for the descent to US129
